Canadian Firearms Safety Course (PAL non-restricted) is for non-restricted (long guns) only. You must have this first before being elligable for the RPAL.

Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (RPAL Restricted) is for restricted firearms (pistols, short barelled rifles) - while you currently can't purchase pistols, having this means you can train with them, and will be able to purchase one right away if/when the curren't ban is reversed.

This refers to a group of work mates or friends and family who prefer to take the class without unknown persons included.  Those that work shifts together and can’t make it to standard weekend classes.
